Good looking resumes

Your resume is a selling tool however it is important to enure it is clear and easy to read. The following is a guide only as to what should be included in your resume:

Personal Details
Include your name, address, e-mail address and telephone numbers so that the firm can contact you.

Education
Include any education and other qualifications. If there are a lot of qualifications, leave in those that are relevant to the position you are applying for.

Employment Details
Starting with your current/most recent job, list your past employment - your title; responsibilities and achievements. This is the section where you can list experience and skills that are relevant to the position you are applying for. If you have not had legal experience, do not be concerned, if you have had any type of customer service experience for example, that is also very important from a Deacons perspective.

Awards
List any awards or achievements not related to your past employment.

Interests
List any personal hobbies or interests as this assists in painting a picture of you as a candidate.

Referees
You can either list your referee's contact details or state that they are 'available on request'. Ensure though that your referees have been contacted once you have given the firm their details.
